Report on Ordinance #:36 of 1902,

I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled

An Ordinance to repeal The Land Registry Office ( Pees )

Amendment Ordinance 1902: and to amend Ordinance No.3 of

1844 entitled An Ordinance to provide for the Redistre-

-tion of Deeds Wills Judgments and Conveyances affecting

real or inmovable property in Hongkong ",

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to

the Governor's Instructions.

The object is to increase the foes heretofore paid under

List No.2 in the Schedule to Ordinance No.3 of 1344.

The increase is made for purposes of revenue.
